HRC is always proud when our players are selected for the national (youth) teams, or when one of our players transfers to a professional club abroad. In this particular case pride seems an understatement though!
That she is a player of exceptional class was widely known already; rarely has a 2nd year Junior (U16) girl been granted permission to play with the Colts (U18) and her ball handling (Fiji offloads) stood out among other things. It thus seemed a given that she would take it further than rugby at HRC. The fact that the coaches of the Fiji Women’s National Team, within hours after seeing video footage of her, would ask how fast she could get on the plane, was unprecedented though!
Sulita will thus conclude this season with the HRC Colts and – immediately after she has finished her last exam – leave for Fiji to prepare with the Fijiana’s for the Oceania Tournament in New Zealand. Thereafter a number of matches against major rugby countries are to follow, all in preparation of the World Cup.
“Pride” does not even begin to describe the emotion. The club is much more than proud! It’s a privilege that you played at HRC.
Huge congratulations to you and your family – especially your father Seva who definitely played a large part in this success – on your selection. What an AMAZING achievement! We wish you the best of luck.
We consider ourselves lucky that you have a younger brother so we do not yet have to say goodbye to your father and him. Furthermore we do hope this increases the chance we will see you again at HRC when you are visiting your family. Know our doors will always be open and rest assured the TV/livestream in the clubhouse will be switched on whenever you play.
