On Saturday, September 7th, members of HRC Touch (Sassy and Fluffy dragons teams) joined forces with Rotterdam Touch to compete in the Pride in Touch Tournament. There were 16 teams, 225 players, and 14 referees, including Naëlle (awarded the prize for the best referee) and Samir (from HRC Touch).
This diverse and inclusive team, representing different clubs and ambitions, showcased remarkable synergy and emerged victorious, taking the cup to the south!
The success of this collaboration was possible due to the exceptional organization by Mosse from Rotterdam Touch, the inspiring leadership of Gavin from HRC Touch, and the unwavering support from Claudine (also of HRC Touch), who played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the finals. This achievement stands as a shining example of inclusivity within the touch rugby community.
Kudos to all players who demonstrated their skills and adaptability on the field. A special thank you to Pride in Touch for orchestrating such a wonderful tournament that highlighted the powerful messages of inclusivity in sport.
We look forward to the next gathering in 2025 in Berlin!
