Khaya Majola will be the new Head Coach for HRC 1 for the coming seasons, succeeding Hadley Jackson.
Khaya has been with HRC since 2024 and he has successfully coached the HRC Futures team the past seasons, wining the competition in the 2024-2025 season and finishing second this season with a strong performance of HRC’s young talents under his leadership.
The appointment of Khaya again emphasizes HRC’s strategy to source from within the club where possible. We are very excited for Khaya’s promotion into the head coach role and ensure we will set him and his staff up for success.
Khaya’s extensive experience as a professional rugby player & coach in South Africa, France, and the Netherlands has equipped him with strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Khaya’s professional rugby career spans over a decade, where he has held significant roles, including captain for the Sharks & Southern Kings (South Africa) and Stade Dijonnais (France). His tenure in rugby has instilled in him the values of discipline, perseverance, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Khaya lives in the Hague with his wife Lotte and are proud parents of their daughter Nola. In his free time Khaya enjoys a good braai and is a social tennis player. His Christian faith is an important part of his life and shapes the values he carries into both his personal and professional life.
