Het wordt (eindelijk) weer mooier weer en dat in combinatie met de geplande wegwerkzaamheden in de buurt van HRC geeft nog meer reden om op de fiets naar de club te komen. Nog los van het feit dat je je fiets altijd kwijt kan en dat een stukje fietsen ook een lekkere warming up of cooling down is.
En daarbij komt dat veel excuses die je zou kunnen bedenken om niet te fietsen – lekke band, ketting loopt aan, rem doet het niet goed, enz – met de komst van onze speler Hirotomo Ono naar HRC echt tot het verleden behoren. Hirotomo is namelijk een heuse bike wizard die je fiets op locatie – thuis, op HRC, op de plek waar je hem moest achterlaten omdat je ketting er af liep, you name it – weer helemaal in orde maakt.
Hoe je regelt dat je fiets wordt gefixt? Je stuurt Hirotomo gewoon een appje of een e-mail en geeft aan wat er (volgens jou) mis is met je fiets. Misschien dat Hirotomo je nog een paar vragen stuurt, zodat hij zeker weet dat hij meteen alle benodigde gereedschappen en onderdelen mee heeft. Hirotomo komt vervolgens naar je toe op de afgesproken tijd en plaats en hij maakt je fiets weer pico bello in orde. In de binnenstad van Den Haag rekent hij daarbij vaak geen voorrij kosten en de voorrijkosten zijn in ieder geval nooit meer dan 8 euro.
Al met al biedt Hirotomo dus een makkelijker, sneller, beter en in de regel goedkoper alternatief dan de standaard fietsenmaker. En daarbij is het natuurlijk extra leuk om een andere HRC een extra steuntje in de rug te geven want hoewel Hirotomo graag op locatie werk, is ooit ook zijn een eigen Bike Store openen toch wel zijn droom.

The weather is (finally) getting better. That in combination with the planned road works near HRC gives even more reason to come to the club by bike. The fact that you can always park of your bike and that a bike ride is also a nice warming up or cooling down are good reasons too though.
On top of that, many excuses you might come up with for not coming by bike – flat tire, problems with the chain , brakes not working properly, etc. – are definately in the past, since Hirotomo Ono has joined HRC. Hirotomo is a real bike wizard, who will fix your bike on location – at home, at HRC, at the place where you had to leave it because your chain came of – you name it.
How to get your bike fixed? You just send Hirotomo an app or an e-mail, explaining what (you think) is wrong with your bike. Maybe Hirotomo will sends you a few more questions in return so he can assure he has all the necessary tools and parts with him when he visits you. Hirotomo will come to you (and your bike) at the agreed time and place and he will fix your bike in no time. In the city center of The Hague he will often not charge an call out fee and his call out fee by all means will never be more than 8 euros.
All in all, Hirotomo offers an easy, fast, excellent and most times even cheaper alternative to the standard bike shop. And next to that it is always nice to lend another HRC player a helping hand; although Hirotomo loves to work on location, his dream is to one day also be able to open his own Bike Store.
