Na de vaste waardes en eigen jeugd is de beurt aan de nieuwe gezichten.

After introducing the familiar faces – the stable backbone of the team – and the 4 youngsters coming up from our first Colts team, we will now introduce and welcome the new players to HRC.

The first one up however might already be a familiar face to some, since he trained and played in our second team last season and, next to that, made name for himself as the owner of one of the best and certainly the nicest bicycle repair shop in town! His name: Hirotomo Ono

Hiro is from Japan where he used to play at NTT Communications Shining Arcs (a team competing in the Japanese rugby top league) on the positions: 9, 10, 11, 14 and 15. That kind of versatility will certainly come in handy!

When asked what made him decide for HRC Hiro answered “I wanted to play rugby for a team on a high level again after moving to the Netherlands. Then I found HRC with a long history and contacted them. I received an immediate response, I was able to attend training last season and I liked the team. Not only the players but also the staff and all the team officials, who are very friendly.”

Well Hiro, we are all too happy you found and chose HRC, we look forward to seeing you on the pitch and (again) extend a warm welcome to both you and Saki.
