This past September, I started as a club support coordinator at HRC, and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this season. From day one, I was struck by how open everyone was to meaningful conversations and creative brainstorming sessions. HRC can truly be proud of all the people who dedicate their time and energy to the players and the sport of rugby.
The structure within the club provides a solid foundation for the development of the youth players, and the atmosphere on and around the field—especially on Wednesday evenings—is both positive and inspiring.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together this season. Since January, no fewer than 36 trainers and parents earned their EHBSO (First Aid for Sports Accidents) certification, and 13 coaches completed the World Rugby Coach 1 course. This marks a fantastic step toward an even stronger foundation for the club.

Afgelopen september startte ik als verenigingsondersteuner bij HRC en ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat ik onwijs genoten heb van dit seizoen. Vanaf dag 1 viel het me op dat iedereen open staat voor leuke gesprekken en brainstormsessies. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat HRC trots mag zijn op iedereen die zich inzet voor de spelers en rugby. De structuur die HRC heeft, biedt een goede basis voor de ontwikkeling van de jeugdspelers en er hangt een fijne sfeer op en rondom het veld op de woensdagavond.
Ik ben ontzettend trots op wat we dit seizoen met elkaar hebben bereikt. Sinds januari hebben maar liefst 36 trainers en ouders hun EHBSO-diploma behaald en zijn 13 trainers opgeleid via de World Rugby Coach 1-cursus. Een hele mooie start naar een nóg sterkere basis.
