The Fluffy Dragons came home with gold, taking first place at the 2nd Dutch Cup and once again proving ourselves as one of the top teams in the competition.
We started the day with a tough match against Amsterdam, where we struggled to find our rhythm early on but managed to turn things around in the second half, finishing with a hard-fought 8–6 win. Our next game against Utrecht proved more challenging—small mistakes were quickly punished, and we couldn’t quite recover, resulting in a 2–4 loss.
After that, the team reset and came back strong. We delivered convincing wins over both Rotterdam and Eindhoven, which secured our spot in the finals.
The day was led by our captain Brad and vice-captain Hester, whose leadership helped keep the team focused and composed throughout. In the final against Amsterdam, everything we’ve been working on in training came together. The structure, communication, and plays we’ve drilled in The Hague paid off, and we controlled the game from start to finish—closing out the final with a solid 6–3 win.
We’re especially proud to have had more women on the pitch than any other team—demonstrating the depth, skill, and balance across our squad, and proving that a well-rounded team makes all the difference.
A strong team effort, a solid result, and a great way to close out the tournament.
