op Khelo Rugby reaches out to children from disadvantaged communities by incorporating sports as a social development tool. This initiative gives children in underprivileged areas of India the opportunity to grow physically, mentally, and educationally. And ensures that these children receive the tools they need for a better future.
Our very own Zaffar Khan, coach of the HRC Xtreme team, is closely involved with Khelo Rugby.
Rugby gear donation
To play rugby well, having the right gear is essential. Together with the Xtreme Ladies, Zaff has started a collection for second-hand rugby gear for Khelo Rugby. Think of shirts and shorts, but especially sports/rugby shoes are greatly needed.
How can you help?
Do you, your friends, or family have old, unused, but still good rugby gear? Please bring them to the crate at the HRC clubhouse by December 11. All sizes are welcome.
On December 12, Zaff will travel to India to personally hand over the collected items to the children.

Khelo Rugby helpt kinderen uit kansarme gemeenschappen door sport te gebruiken als een middel voor sociale ontwikkeling. Dit initiatief geeft kinderen in achtergestelde gebieden van India de kans om fysiek, mentaal en educatief te groeien. En zorgt ervoor dat ze de hulpmiddelen krijgen die ze nodig hebben voor een betere toekomst.

Donatie van rugbyspullen
Om goed rugby te kunnen spelen, is het hebben van de juiste uitrusting essentieel. Samen met de dames van HRC Xtreme is Zaff een inzamelingsactie gestart voor tweedehands rugbyspullen voor Khelo Rugby. Denk aan shirts en shorts, maar vooral sportschoenen/rugby schoenen zijn hard nodig.
Hoe kun je helpen?
Heb jij, je vrienden of familie oude, ongebruikte maar nog goede rugbyspullen? Breng ze dan voor 11 december naar HRC. Hier ligt een krat waar je jouw spullen in kan doen. Alle maten zijn welkom.
Op 12 december reist Zaff naar India om de verzamelde spullen persoonlijk aan de kinderen te overhandigen.
