Last Saturday on a near perfect sunny afternoon for rugby, Colts 2 took on a strong Dukes 1 team.
This was a semi final game between the second in the plate (HRC Colts 2) and the 5th place in the Cup (Dukes 1).
From the Kick off it was clear the Dukes meant business and opened the scoring after 10 minutes. However HRC`s admirable defence kept the visitors out for lengthy periods of the match.
It soon became clear however the difference in level of competition these 2 teams have played all season.
Errors from HRC were ruthlessly punished by the Dukes and this resulted in a final score of 20-59 which didn`t reflect the closeness at times of the match.
Next week Dukes away for another tough encounter. Hopefully quick recovery for Max, Mees and Toon.
